Most of the time, when I try to print a regular item, like a recipe from a website, I won’t print because it says the photo tray is empty.  My print settings say "letter".  I don’t want to print on any photo paper.  I will probably not use that function unless I try in the future.

Relevant to Windows

 

If you have installed that mystery printer's full driver printer software,

If you are printing from your web browser,

Look for a way to access additional settings in the print command - l

Look for a way to change / update the Source (Tray)

 

The following example is for Firefox - Windows - Full driver installed -

Open web page to be printed...

File > Print icon (to open and set main print options)

Scroll down...

"Print using the system dialog" (to open additional settings

"More Settings" to open Printing Preferences

Tab Paper / Quality > Edit the Paper Source to select the tray you want to use

Click OK to save Paper Quality changes

Click Print to save settings in Print Dialog

Back in the main print window, click Print
