After a recent Windows 10 update, my PhotoSmart 8450 printer no longer works. The printer is always "offline". If I try to make it go "online", there is a "printer error" every time I try to print. This has happened on 3 different Windows 10 computers with the same problem.
The HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows suggests I use the built in driver on Windows 10, but this driver no longer works.
It looks like the old printer driver is no longer compatible with Windows 10. Do you have any suggestions how to fix this?
I notice something similar happened with a Photosmart 7520.

You tried the Photosmart 8400 driver?

Thanks for your reply.
I tried the built-in Photosmart 8400 driver in Windows 10. However this does not work any more. I do not know how to download a new driver from HP, they just say use the driver in Windows 10.

Due to the age of the printer there is no driver available from HP for Win 10.
When you tried the 8400 driver did you try compatibility mode Windows 7?
