Not sure if you are still out there or if this will get to you pashdej.

I have a HP3210 That just started to giving me trouble. I have had it awhile so I can't really complain about it.

The problem with mine started with black ink splatters on the print. When I peared inside I could see the ink was all over the top of that metal piece that leads to the sponge in the ink well.

Tonight I took the printer apart to get to the print head, that was a chore. I couldn't figure out how to release the print head to move it out of the way so I could clean out the ink well foam. How do you do that? Where is the catch?

While I was trying to move the print head that was when I noticed that my right rocker arm was cracked where it slips onto the splined shaft. Looking at the material it is made out of it (nylon?) it doesn't look like any adhesive would hold long. Maybe if you gooped up enough epoxy or JB weld to brace it, it might, but I doubt it.

If I could get my hands on a 3D scanner and a 3D printer I could make a new part!

Maybe it's time to say good bye to the 3210.

Thanks

Forget it.

You're hosed. That rocker isn't fixable, and cleaning things up will be a waste of effort. As I recall, the only way to release the print assembly was to power up the printer for a second, and once it moved, unplug the power.

I had recommended the Canon MX882 in the past(I think they are up to 992 now) , which is what I replaced my printer with, but it's not a perfect solution; It's great for office work , scanning, FAXing, printing, but it goes through ink too fast to justify for pictures.

Sorry I can't be more optimistic. Just wasn't a great design.

Hope is not lost. I had the same problem magenta and cyan were dripping on to printed pages and on the inside of printer.  I was just about to give up on it and scrap it and all my ink when I found this forum.  I figured I'd check the white plastic tabs you were talking about. Sure enough mine was cracked causing it to not lift on the side of those inks\dyes .  I took it off figured it try a plastic repair kit I don't think super glue would be strong enough. So I repaired it and pressed it back on. Cleanus up all the ink\dye I could get to and tried it. At first ink system failure.  I saw the small gear was slipping off. I didn't push in the repaired plastic piece far enough.  Once pushed in I tried again. This time after a minute or two of maintenance I ran a test page. Results were good but the magenta had issues. Ran a first level head clean and everything printed perfect and no more leaking.

I'm so glad I didn't scrap it like so many suggested . With only 3000 page count it seemed like a waste.  The other poster was right this part seems to be 3d printable.
