Photosmart 7520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought new ink for my HP photosmart 7520 and even after multiple head cleanings, and even taking out the print cartridge holder, wiping it and soaking it in warm water, reinstalling everything and cleaning print heads again, it's not printing ANY magenta ink. The ink levels on all cartridges are showing full (well somewhat less than full now after so many multiple cleanings). I saw someone else posted with this same issue a few years ago, and I followed the soaking instructions completely, and now it's worse than before. Does anyone have any advice? Could it just be a 'bad' ink cartridge? Not even sure Office Depot would let me get another one, but I'm really upset about spending $150 on 4 brand new ink cartridges for a printer that now may not work at all! Everything, even black is showing green now.

Please help!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Does the same happen while copying too?

From the printer control panel, use an automated tool to align the printhead.

  1. Load plain, white paper in the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, touch the Settings icon .

  3. Touch Tools, and then touch Align Printer. After the alignment, a message displays on the printer control panel that tells you the alignment status.

Try to print.

If the issue persists, please perform the remaining steps from this document: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-photosmart-7520-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5199461/model/51...
