We have used the printer lightly (about 30 pages/month) without problem for several years (connected directly via USB). When I recently replaced the black and color ink cartridges, the printer would not print the alignment page. The printer scans correctly to the computer. The printer acts as if it is printing. But nothing is printed. There are no jams of paper or carriage.

@Jch4, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Try making a standalone Black and Color copy and check if that works.

Make sure the protective plastic tape, if any, on the new ink cartridges are removed before inserting in the printer.

 

Print a diagnostic page

Press and hold the Cancel () button and then press the Start Copy Color () button.

The product prints a self test report, which might indicate the source of the printing problem.
