Suddenly got the error message “At least one of the cartridges has a problem”.
Judging from the display, the problem is with the color cartridge. The color cartridge is nearly full, & I've been printing fine with it until just now.
I still get the error message, even after following all of HP's steps for removing/cleaning/reinstalling the cartridge, cleaning the the carriage contacts, resetting the printer, etc.

Is this a common problem? I wanted feedback from others who've gotten the same error message. Did buying & installing a new cartridge resolve the issue... or was the problem with the printer itself?
My Photosmart D110a is about 7 years old, gets light to moderate usage, & has always worked fine.
I have 64-bit Windows 10.
Thanks!

Good day. Thank you for stopping by the Hp community. I reviewed the case and will be happy to assist you. Terrific troubleshooting and great diagnosis of the issue. Kudos to you for that.
- Did you try updating the printer's firmware and check?
Let's try these steps:
- Perform a hard reset on the printer from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-ink-tank-wireless-410-series/16180953/model/16180954/documen... perform steps from the section “Step 1: Reset the printer
- Then update the printer’s firmware by following instructions from this link: https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c02919168
- Use a USB cable to update the printer’s firmware connecting it to a computer.
Now check if the issue gets resolved. if it continues, then replacing the ink cartridge should do the trick if the printer's hardware is healthy. Otherwise, the printer needs to be replaced. Don't buy any ink cartridges yet, only to find that the printer still doesn't work with them.
I will send you a private message to assist you with the next course of action. Check your forum private message box in the upper right corner next to the bell icon.
