Good day,

 

I own a Photosmart Plus B210a Printer that I use with Non-HP Cartridges.

I've done so ever since I own the printer and I've never experienced any issues

Since the last firmware update (current firmware version: TAL1FN1622AR) my printer refuses to print anything .

I've read a number of news sites that this is due to the dynamic security feature build into the lastest firmware.

 

I've been looking for the optional firmware update for the Photosmart Plus B210a  that will remove this dynamic security feature, but I'm unable to locate it.

Can anybody please provide me with a link to the location where I may find the optional firmware update for the Photosmart Plus B210a ?

Your symptoms is not even close the the firmware updates for the security problem.

The B210a was not affected by the Security Update.  Only Office Jet/Office Jet Pro series printers were.

Thank you for your prompt reply!

Right before my printer stopt printing I received a message on the display panel asking me to accept a new update.

I accepted this.

Directly after that my printer stopt printing anything.

I'd obviously assumed that this was due to the Security Update!

 

The printer does feed paper through and the cardridge holder does move around, but no ink ends up on the paper.

 

Any suggestions what might have caused this and what would be the solution to solve this, if it's not the Security Update as you say?
