I started having the now well-documented problems (where hp unintentionally revoked credentials on some older versions of Mac drivers) with my printer over a month ago. Shortly afterwards Apple recommended an update to mac OS Big Sur, which I did. Now the printer still isn't working in colour - only in monochrome.
Are there any drivers for my c8100 series printer to go on my Macbook using Big Sur (11.0.1) or do I have to buy another printer - it won't be an hp if this problem is not sorted out by hp.

Hi @ColinBee1,
I'd like to help!
HP Photosmart C8180 All-in-One Printer driver for macOS 11 is not available from the HP website or Apple Software Update. However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.
NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

The C8180 does not seem to be supported by Gutenprint.
I just bought a new computer with Big Sur on it, so I need to either find a new driver, or find a new printer. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this printer, it works perfectly fine, and it's ridiculous that I cannot find drivers for this printer. As the original poster stated, if I have to buy a new printer, I will likely choose to buy a non-HP printer. I have a non-HP laser printer that is older than the C8180, and still works just fine. This is kind of silly.
