@SMS131, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Check for Software Conflicts or Updates
Update HP Printer Drivers:
Go to HP's official support page and download the latest drivers for your printer. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause issues with printing from certain applications.
Download the drivers for your model.
Follow the installation instructions.
Restart your laptop after installation.
Windows Update:
Ensure that Windows 10 is fully updated. Sometimes, updates contain fixes for issues related to printing.
Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates.
Check Printer Queue
Sometimes, a stuck print job in the queue can cause issues. Try clearing it:
Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right-click on the HP DeskJet 2755e and select See what's printing.
If there are any jobs in the queue, right-click and cancel them.
Reinstall the Printer
Uninstalling and reinstalling the printer can resolve issues with corrupted settings or drivers:
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right-click on your HP DeskJet 2755e and select Remove device.
Reinstall the printer by selecting Add a printer and follow the prompts.
Set the Printer as Default
Ensure your HP DeskJet 2755e is set as the default printer, especially if you have other printers installed.
Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
Find the HP DeskJet 2755e and set it as the default.
Restart Print Spooler (Windows):
- Search services in the search box. Open the service menu.
- In the list, find Print Spooler.
- Right-click Print Spooler and click Restart.
- If it’s stopped, click Start instead.
- Close the window. Check if the issue persists
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
