Hi All,
I just joined instant ink service and started the trial periods of 2 months free and 2 more free months of XMAS18.
It says:

Very good question and this may help clarify for many people!
The free trial months give you 300 pages per months and it doesn't matter what plan you are on. So if you chose the 100 page plan during the free trial months you can actually print up to 300 pages without being charged for an extra 200 pages.
However, promo codes will only give you free months based on the plan you choose.
So in your case you will get 2 free months up to 300 pages for your trial and 2 free months up to the plan you choose.
If you look to the right of that message, you posted above, on your account page you will see under the PLANS section in green writing your free months and if you click on "See free months details" it will show you in order of use how the free months work.
