Recently, when I print solid colours, there are thick lines across of different colours or just the original colour faded. Black ink is fine, and so is small areas of colour, but the issue rises when I print larger areas of colour.

I have tried cleaning the printheads, aligning the printheads and cleaning the print smears, changing the ink cartridges, but to no avail.

On the print quality test sheet, the first two tests are fine, but there are large yellow streaks across the green bars - no dark lines or white gaps, as stated on the sheet.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this!

Thanks

@brian1983, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand the print quality is not satisfactory with color. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

If the issue persists even after replacing the ink cartridges, I'm afraid the printhead has gone bad which is non-removable on this model printer.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
