Hi @Polczar

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

A blinking power light on your HP Ink Tank Wireless 416 usually means the printer is either busy, in an error state, or has a hardware issue. Let’s decode what’s going on and how to fix it

Check for Error Messages:

  • Examine the printer control panel display or your computer screen for any error messages or icons that give additional information about the problem.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord from the back, and wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer. A reset might resolve the blinking light.

Inspect Ink Tanks and Cartridges:

  • Ensure that all ink tanks have sufficient ink and the cartridges are correctly installed in their slots.
  • Check for any ink cartridge errors indicated on the printer’s control panel.

Clear Paper Jam:

  • Open the printer’s access doors and check if there’s any paper or debris causing a jam.
  • If a jam is present, gently remove the paper, ensuring no pieces are left inside.

Printhead Maintenance:

  • Perform a printhead cleaning using the printer’s maintenance menu, either via the control panel or through the HP Smart app.

Check Network Connection:

  • If using wirelessly, ensure the printer is properly connected to your network.
  • A disconnection or poor signal could cause erratic behavior, including a blinking power light.

Firmware Update:

  • Use the HP Smart app or check the HP Support site for any available firmware updates for your printer model that might resolve issues.

Reinstall Printer Software:

  • Sometimes, reinstalling the printer software on your computer using the latest version from the HP Support site can resolve communication issues.

If the blinking persists even after these steps, it could be a faulty sensor or internal hardware issue. Let me know what you've tried so far, and I can help you dig deeper.
