Please help. I have a HP Deskjet D4300 Series printer that will not function correctly. I went to plug it in today after being in storage for about 6 months and the only thing that happens are blinking lights at a rapid pace. My power, resume, and both ink cartridge lights blink. What does this mean and can it be fixed?
Thanks!

Superb analysis and brilliant diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:
- Did you hard reset the printer and check again?
For now, try these steps:
Perform a hard reset from this link: http://hp.care/2EvNkgw (HP Inkjet Printers - '0xc19a0005' Error or Similar Error Displays)
Perform instruction in step 1 only.
Now check if the issue gets fixed. If the issue continues, then perform all the prescribed steps that best match your current issue from this link: http://hp.care/2Et5oI5 (Blinking Lights on the HP Deskjet D4360, D4363, and D4368 Printers)
- Both the Power light and the Resume light are blinking or flashing.
- One or both ink cartridge status lights are on and blinking.
- Perform these steps:
Now check for issue resolution.
If it continues, then the printer is faulty and needs to be replaced by contacting HP phone support. I am being honest about it without beating around the bush by keeping your best interest in mind. 🙂

Hi DavidSMP!
Thank you so much for posting! I had no idea about the hard reset. I went ahead with it and the printer seems to be working. I couldn't print a test page though because the ink cartridges are totally empty (or dried out, if that's possible). I'm going to buy fresh ones this weekend and give it a go. I will post back if it still is not working.
Thank you SO much!!!

Hi David!
An update on my issue. I just inserted the new ink cartridges and reset the printer once more. It did great up until I hooked it up to my laptop. It has been connected to this laptop countless times in the past without an issue, so I'm not sure why I'm having such a problem this time around. What's happening is, it reacts just fine up until I connect to my laptop. Once that occurs, all lights begin to flash in a similar fashion like I described earlier prior to reseting the printer. Once I disconnect, the printer is fine again. What's going on and can I fix this (with your help, of course!)?
