I'm trying to print a booklet from MS Word to my HP OfficeJet Pro 8720, and it just shoots out a blank page. I have just installed a new black cartridge and had it successfully print out a test page. Can someone help me please?

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand, your printer is not printing booklet,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
What is the operating system on the PC?
Are you able to print other documents?
Are you able to make a photocopy?
Once I have the information, I'll help you further 🙂
Keep me posted,
Cheers 🙂

Hi Flower-bud, thanks for your quick response. I'm using Windows 8. Can print other documents. Can do photocopies.
Since yesterday, I realised one error I was making: I used MSWord to format my document as a booklet, and then asked the printer to do the same thing. No wonder it just spat out a blank page....I had confused it!!!
So, I changed MS Word document to be a normal document, and then just used the printer settings to try and print in booklet format using duplex printing. I have had partial success. I can now get 2 document pages to print side-by side using the duplex option. BUT, page 2 does not print on the back of page 1, etc.
Can you help me please?

Thank you for responding,
It's great to have you back 😉
You could follow steps from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocMb1RaOwdo.
NOTE: Although the document shows the content for LaserJet Printer, you could still perform it for your printer.
Keep me posted,
Cheers 🙂

Hi RD, I did a bit of research on the net, and so tried saving my MSWord file in .pdf format, and then printing from that. It worked like a charm. So very happy after all my frustrating attempts!
Thanks so much for your help.
Cheers
Sharon
PS What does RD do to chill? Sudoku?
