i am getting the same message Print Cartridge error refer to printer documentation and i fallowed your steps twice and it didnt work ... have any new ideas?

Have gone through the steps suggested. It still gives the same error

SOON I WILL POST A VIDEO OF MY DESTRUCTION OF MY PRINTER! EVERY HP PRODUCT I GET HAS A MAJOR MALFUNCTION AND CEASES TO COOPERATE. JUST REMOVE THAT OPTION FROM FUTURE PRINTERS AND KEEP IT BASIC HP. I HAVE HAD IT AND DONE WITH YOUR PRODUCTS. SO FAR I HAVE JUST FOUND INDIVIDUALS WHO DESPISE HP AND I THOUGHT HP WAS PRETTY DECENT. SINCE I HAVE LOST 3 PC'S AND 23 PRINTERS I AM NOW SAYING GOODBYE SHOULD OF AFTER THE SECOND. EVEN IF YOU IMPROVE I WILL NO LONGER USE HP PRODUCTS.

to message above my printer is a C6180

Hello Pam, I noticed your post on the issue you are having with your Photosmart C6180 giving you an error code.

I have found this document for you to try troubleshooting through this issue.

An Alphanumeric Code (Example: '0x......' or 'C2......')

I have tried three times to get rid of "refer to printer documentation" message.  No luck.  using MAC OS10.5.

Having the same thing happen. I have done what you have suggestion to fix the probelm and no go. Do you think it would help to get new ink cartridges? I don't want to buy new ones and stil have a printer tha won't work.
