HP Photo-smart Premium e-All-in-One Printer series - C310. After I receive the error I have to unplug the printer from energy source, solve the error issue and reconnect. The problem, mine and of many others: what it means error 0xc19a0042? I start to believe that the guys from HP are clueless too. why not have a public list with the error codes and when and why they appear?

Error 0xc19a0042 on HP printers is a common ink system failure error. It typically indicates an issue with the ink system or an internal communication problem with the printer. While specific causes can vary, the error often points to problems with ink cartridges, printhead, or the ink delivery system.

 

Here are steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure that all ink cartridges are properly installed and are not empty.
  • If you have replacement cartridges, try installing them to see if the problem persists.

Clean Printhead:

  • Some HP printers have a removable printhead. If yours does, remove and clean it according to the printer's manual.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware might resolve compatibility issues.
