I have been able to print from my iPhone without any issue. However, for approximately one month, I have had issues printing from my HP Envy 17.3 laptop to my HP Smart Tank 7602 All-in-One. It prints on multiple pages with multiple lines of random letters and symbols. I have had the Geek Squad try to fix it remotely and we have tried multiple ways to do it, following all the directions of the HP Smart help but the problem has not been resolved.

It seems you're experiencing an issue where your HP Envy 17.3 laptop prints multiple pages with random letters and symbols to your HP Smart Tank 7602 All-in-One printer. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that your printer drivers are updated. Go to the HP Support website, search for your printer model, and download the latest drivers available.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Verify that the printer is properly connected to the same network as your laptop and that there is a stable network connection.

Reset Printing System:

  • On your laptop, access the printer settings and try to reset the printing system. This will clear any print queues and printer configurations. You can do this by:
    1. Go to "Devices and Printers."
    2. Right-click your printer and select "Remove device."
    3. Add the printer again after resetting.

Test with Different Applications:

  • Try printing documents from a different application to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is application-specific.

Check Print Spooler:

  • Sometimes the print spooler service can cause issues. Restart the print spooler service by:
    1. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
    2. Type services.msc and press Enter.
    3. Find "Print Spooler" in the list, right-click it, and select "Restart."

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to automatically diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems.
