Print error or lights permanently on

My printer SNPRC 1901-01 intermittently started refusing to print showing 3 orange lights but if I reset it or lightly shook it would work. Since last week it has refused completely just showing 3 orange lights

SNPRC 1901-01 is a "Regulatory Model Number"  -- it is not the Model name of the printer.

Examples:

Product Specifications for the HP DeskJet 2755 All-in-One Printer (3XV17A) 

Product Specifications for the HP DeskJet 4152e All-in-One Printer (26Q91A) 

I understand using a Reset to regain printer function.

I do not understand shaking the printer to make it work again.

Sounds odd and perhaps a bit ominous that shaking the printer would change the behavior for the better.
