I bought new ink cartridges for it, unplugged the printer & turned off my computer and it still wasn't working. I got the same message a week ago & bought all new ink cartridges. This was a new printer I bought last year and printed only about 25 pages max.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did you make any changes to your printer?
- Could you please share the picture of the error message?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
Perform a power reset:
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
- Turn on the printer.
And, also update the printer firmware
