Hello....Printer not printing.  I can see it in the queue for a few seconds and then it disappears but nothing prints.  I have uninstalled HP and installed, troubleshoot says it cannot see a problem, test print, prints, I updated driver, HP Scan Dr says to check ink cartridges and they are fine, changed wires and still nothing prints but test print.  It may just be a coincidence but Charter replaced my modem yesterday and this is the first time I have tried to print.  Anyone have any other suggestions?  Greatly appreciated.

Hey there! @suzyq1900, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand you mentioned when you print from your printer the printer job disappears from the print queue.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Does the issue persist when you make a copy from your printer?

Have you tried printing from a different application does the issue persist?

Is your printer and computer connected to the same home network?

Are you able to print from other devices?

Excellent description and a great diagnosis done. It is greatly appreciated.

Please try few steps recommended below.

Restart router, computer and printer once and try printing again.

When connecting a wireless printer to a network, make sure it is connected to the same network name as the computer.

Do not connect the printer to guest or host networks, such as networks found in apartments, coffee shops, schools, or hotels. These have additional security features or login requirements that prevent connections to the printer.

Make sure your printer is connected only to the 2.4Ghz network.

Rename the spool printer and driver files:

   1. Click Start type cmd and right-click cmd.exe, select Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue.
   2. At the command prompt, type the following commands (press ENTER after each)
   3. Rename %systemroot%\System32\Spool\Printers Printers.old
   4. Rename %systemroot%\System32\Spool\Drivers\w32x86 w32x86.old
   5. Exit

Restart Print Spooler service:

To restart the Print Spooler service
You must be logged on as an administrator to perform these steps.

1.    Open Administrative Tools by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type administrative tools, and then click Administrative Tools.
2.    Double-click Services.   If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3.    Right-click the Print Spooler service, and then click Properties.
4.    On the General tab, next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
5.    If the service is not already running, under Service status, click Start, and then click OK.

If the issue still persists uninstall the printer software from the root level on your PC and install the full feature printer software.

In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.

Select your HP printer.

Select Uninstall.

In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.

In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”

Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.

Type printui.exe /s and click OK.

Click on Drivers tab.

Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.

Select OK.

Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

Close Devices and Printers.

Thank you so much for your detailed response.  I decided to leave my computer overnight instead of throwing it out the window.  In the morning everything worked fine!  Just a glitch I guess but I am printing your suggestions for future reference.  Thank you again
