Hello,
I encounter some "problems" while printing (from a Mac computer).
The printing works well but pauses (like 20 or 30 seconds) in the middle of the last page before finishing.
There's like a green bar blinking on the printer's screen during that pause, with a red cross, but I can't manage to know what it it. Suddendly, the green bar disappears, and the printing job finishes.
Printer is OfficeJet Pro 8710 with the latest firmware, and driver on the mac is HP_OfficeJet_Pro_8710 version 4.3.0 (installed through HP Easy Start).
Any idea ?

Going through your post, I understand that you are facing printing issues with your Officejet 8710 printer on your MAC Sierra. I’m here to help you 🙂
Let’s start by performing a reset printing systems to try and fix the issue. Here are the steps:
- Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.
- Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.
- Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click “Reset printing system”.
- Click “Reset” in the confirmation window.
- Enter an administrator username and password, and then click “OK”.
- Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list
- Restart your computer and then go back to System preferences – Printers and scanners.
- Click the “Add button” (+).
- Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click “Add” to add your printer.
- Click “Print Using...”, and then select the name of your printer (By default “Airprint” would be selected)

This is one for the HP Support staff.
I am having the same problem, but I am worried about using your solution as I have a number of printers in my list, including ones from work, which are hard to reinstall. Is there a way I can save some of my printer configurations in my list, so I can reinstall them after the reset without having to go through the mess of my own tech support?
Many thanks.
