Just changed the black ink and had a paper jam in printing the alignment page.  I cleared the jam, cancelled the alignment and went ahead with printing a Xmas letter.  Some lines of print are fine others miss or show fractions of print.  I went into setting and tried another alignment page and a test page but the results are the same.  Please can someone help?

A warm welcome to HP Forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

Power resetting the printer, cleaning the paper feed rollers and performing an automated and manual cartridge cleaning may resolve the issue. Please try these steps:

1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector

2) Remove all of your ink cartridges from the printer and close the door

3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)

4) Clean the electrical contacts, refer to solution 3 from this document.

5) Clean the paper feed rollers, refer to solution 3 from this document.

6) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges.

7) On your Mac, open Finder

😎 Click Applications, open HP or Hewlett Packard folder

9) Open HP Utility find and run printhead or ink cartridge cleaning from the Information and Support panel.

10) On the HP Utility, click Align printer.

Let me know how it goes!
