I have a new HP Smart Tank 455 printer and installed software and updates form HP website. I am using MS windows 10 with all apdates. If printing from MS Word (2013) a doc file there are always at the same points on the page poor quality output. If I covert the doc file to PDF the print directly (with HP Smart) the output is O.K..
Also when printing Windows test page the poor printing quality is always at the point in the page. See added picture.
Before I had a HP B110 printer with which I never had this kind of problems.

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Is the copy working fine?
How long are you facing this issue?
Clean the printheads using the HP software, and then evaluate the results.
Open or search for the HP folder in your list of installed software applications, click the folder for your printer, and then click the name of your printer.
HP Printer Assistant opens.
On the HP Printer Assistant window, click Maintain Your Printer.
Click the Device Services tab, and then click Clean Ink Cartridges
.
A Print Quality Diagnostic page prints.
Examine the Print Quality Diagnostic page.
If the print quality is acceptable, click Done. You can stop troubleshooting.
If the print quality is unacceptable, click Second-level Clean when prompted to continue the next level of cleaning.
