The printer that I have used for years is suddenly refusing to print. When I send a job for printing, the queue automatically pauses and won't resume. Here are the details and what I've tried...

My System: HP472 MFP, connected via network, printing from MacBook Pro running OSX Sonoma 14.5

Problem: all print jobs are automatically paused. Unable to print at all. Used to work fine. No recent changes that I know of.

Things I’ve tried without success:
1) Resuming the print queue
2) Resetting the printing system
3) Removing and re-adding the printer
4) Installing the latest HP drivers and utility software
5) Printing from different apps
6) Un-pausing in CUPS settings
7) Rebooting and restarting OSX and printer
😎 Printing from Safe boot mode
9) Printing from a different user account (on the same Mac)

Of note, I am able to do a successful test print from the HP utility software. This bypasses the OSX printing software and directly connects to the printer over the network. So, the network and printer are fine. The problem is with OSX.

Also, I tied printing from a Windows 10 device - works fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Eric
