I am trying Wireless Direct for the first time. Prior to this, printing via wifi has been excellent and reliable. When I connect my Mac laptop to the HP wireless direct network, and try to print from gmail or from Google sheets, I get an abbreviated image to printer. In contrast, when I print from other sites, I seem to get full, properly formatted image to printer. What can I do to get full, properly formatted image from Google Sheets to my HP printer via Wireless Direct?
Note: This came up because I am trying to print when there is no wifi network available in the environment.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
- Wi-Fi Direct is similar to a Wireless connection and the Image size or Quality should not cause an issue.
- If you are able to print fine from other applications and not from Gmail or from Google sheets, could be an issue related to these apps.
- If the printer and MAC are connected using Wi-Fi Direct, there will be no internet access on your MAC.
- Save the file on your MAC and then try printing.
For now, let us try these steps:
Update the printer firmware
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Also, check if there are any software updates available for MAC
Install the printer using AirPrint
1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
4.) Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.
6.) Try to print.
Let me know how this goes.
