@BH67, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Based on the display, your HP printer is showing a "Carriage Jam" error, specifically:

"Print Carriage cannot move"
Suggested action: Open the cartridge access door, clear any paper jam or obstruction, then press OK.

Here are some steps you can try (even if you've done some already, just to be thorough):

Power Off and Unplug
Turn off the printer and unplug it from the wall. Wait 60 seconds.

Open Cartridge Access Door
Gently open the access door and check for:

  • Loose paper scraps
  • Bits of torn labels
  • Any foreign objects (like paper clips or pen caps)

Manually Move the Carriage
Try sliding the print carriage (the part that holds the ink cartridges) left and right gently. If it’s stuck:

  • Look for obstructions on the carriage path.
  • Check the belt and wheels for damage or debris.

Check the Paper Path
Remove the paper tray and inspect the rollers and feed path for jams or misaligned paper.

Plug In and Restart
Plug the printer back in, power it on, and see if the error clears.

Update Firmware (if accessible)
If the printer starts up, check HP’s support site for a firmware update that might address carriage issues.

If the carriage still won’t budge or the error persists, it could be a hardware failure

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
