I am really struggling to figure out what is going on with my printer. We work in an area that was affected by the Hurricane. In preparation for that, we unplugged and took our equipment home. My printer was taken inside my house, and that is where it stayed, untouched by water, or heat, until I brought it back, and plugged it back in at work. That is when the issue started.

Whenever the printer prints, it will beep. Sometimes it is three rapid beeps and then it will finish printing without anymore beeping. Other times it is one long beep as it prints the entirety of the print job. I have taken the ink cartridge out, and cleaned out the inside with an air can, and replaced the ink cartridge. I checked for a jam that I may not have known about before I unplugged it and brought it home. I have also checked for updates and it shows that it is fully up to date. When I run a diagnostic on the printer, it shows that it cannot find anything wrong with the printer. I just want it to stop beeping. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I may have missed?

@Garp_senchau thank you so much! I realized when reading through your suggestions there was one thing I hadn't tried, and I don't think I would have thought of it without your help. I had tried unplugging and plugging back in the same location and it still beeped. Yet when I unplugged it from the back up battery box and directly into the wall it seems to have fixed it.

I appreciate your time!

Hey @JanelUSAir.

You're very welcome! 😊 I'm so glad you found the solution! Sometimes it’s the little things, like the power source, that can make all the difference. 👍 It's awesome that the direct plug into the wall worked! If you ever need help again, feel free to reach out. Happy scanning!
