Product: HP Officejet Pro 6975 printer
Operating System: Other
I have officejet pro 6975 printer. Installed 3 new HP color and HP black ink 902 cartridges. Error for black ink cartridge says cartridge problem. Remove and reinstall, making sure it is installed correctly. Did that ..same error. Unplugged and reset printer..same error.
I assume this is an issue with cartridge chip. Installed another brand new unused black ink cartridge.. same error.

Hi Please try to reinstall the cartridge ,Ensure that cartridge slides into the slot correctly if the issue still persists Ensure that the color coded icon on the cartridge matches the color code icon on the cartridge slot . Move your finger along the top of the cartridges to check whether the cartridges are level else press down to to ensure that the cartridge firmly snaps in the slot if it is not seated Remove and Reinsert the cartridge in the slot till it snaps into the slot if the issue still persists Try to clean the cartridge contacts using Lint free cloth and check if it resolves. Try to do a reset by Powering on the unit Wait for the printer to be idle - Disconnect the power cable from wall outlet with the printer On Wait for 60 seconds and connect the power cable back wait for the unit to be powered up If the unit does not power on Press power button If the issue still persists call HP support Please follow the document below.
