Please help!

I bought a genuine HP Printer Cartridge (201X (CF402X)) for my HP Color LaserJet MFP M277dw printer but I get an error message saying Incompatible Cartridge. It's the same type, from the same supplier, as I have used successfully in the past but now the printer will not print anything. What should I do?

Hi All,

Further to my original post, I eventually found the cause and how to fix it:

  • The cause was that the printer cartridge supplied (by a supplier I had used successfully previously) was for the wrong region. There is some "small print" on the cartridge's box that states that it is not for distribution within Europe, so I sent it back to the supplier who gave a full refund.
  • The cure was to buy another cartridge from a larger UK supplier (Currys) who sent the right cartridge. I checked the small print to ensure it was intended for Europe before opening it, and it worked like a dream.

Hope this helps anyone in a similar situation!
