My printer is connected to my computer with a USB cord; however, the computer and printer both indicate that the printer is not connected (offline). This connection used to work previously. Howver, when I moved my printer to another room and then returned the printer after I was done using it, it would not connect to the computer anymore. I have tried uninstalling/ reinstalling the printer software. I have used various diagnostic tools (HP Print and Scan Doctor), etc. and have not found a solution to my problem.  It's as if the USB connection from the coputer to the printer is no longer working. Please help!

Under Printer in See What's Printing for you printer make sure that Use Printer Offline is not checked.

Did you hear the USB connection sound when you connected the USB cable to the computer?

Have you tried the Windows 10 troubleshooter?

Any errors in the Device manager?

Have you tried a different USB cable?

Under Printer in See What's Printing for you printer make sure that Use Printer Offline is not checked.
