If your HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 printer's control panel is not displaying anything and appears blank, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check Power Supply and Connections
Verify Power Source:
- Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the power outlet.
- Check if the power outlet is working by connecting another device to it.
Power Reset:
- Turn off the printer by disconnecting the power cord from the printer and the power outlet.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord back into the printer and the power outlet.
- Turn the printer back on.
Examine the Control Panel
Control Panel Buttons:
- Press some of the buttons on the control panel to see if it responds or lights up.
Touch Screen:
- Swipe or tap different areas on the touchscreen to check if there's any response.
Firmware Update
- Firmware Issue:
- Sometimes, a firmware update is needed to resolve control panel issues. Check HP's official website for any available firmware updates for your printer model.
