If your HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 printer's control panel is not displaying anything and appears blank, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Power Supply and Connections

Verify Power Source:

  • Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the power outlet.
  • Check if the power outlet is working by connecting another device to it.

Power Reset:

  • Turn off the printer by disconnecting the power cord from the printer and the power outlet.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord back into the printer and the power outlet.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Examine the Control Panel

Control Panel Buttons:

  • Press some of the buttons on the control panel to see if it responds or lights up.

Touch Screen:

  • Swipe or tap different areas on the touchscreen to check if there's any response.

Firmware Update

  1. Firmware Issue:
    • Sometimes, a firmware update is needed to resolve control panel issues. Check HP's official website for any available firmware updates for your printer model.
