Product: C4280 PRINTER
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Need printer driver for c4280 for Windows 11.  Just upgraded my laptop to HP Probook windows 11 and cannot use printer.  Yes, it's older but works great.  Is there a substitute driver that can be downloaded.

Welcome to HP Support Community.

 

HP’s official support site does not list a specific Windows 11 driver for the Photosmart C4280 — the model is older and HP hasn’t released updated drivers for Windows 11.

 

Windows 11 Built-in Driver / Add Printer

 

Windows 11 sometimes has built-in generic drivers that work for older printers:

 

Plug in the C4280.

 

Go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners.

 

Click Add device or Add a printer or scanner.

 

If it doesn’t show up, choose “The printer that I want isn’t listed”.

 

Try Add a local printer and let Windows search its list — sometimes a generic HP driver works.
