Hi @Vishnu57,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the E1 error on your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2700 typically indicates a paper mismatch, which happens when the size of the paper loaded into the printer does not match the settings chosen on the device sending the print job. Even though you're selecting the correct A4 size on your phone and Windows 11, there may be an issue with either the paper size settings in the printer or communication between the devices.

Here are a few steps to resolve the issue:

1. Ensure Paper Settings Match on All Devices:

  • Windows 11:
    • Open the Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    • Right-click your printer and choose Printer Properties.
    • Under the Paper/Quality tab, ensure A4 is selected as the paper size.
    • Go to the Advanced tab and make sure the paper size is set to A4 for all defaults.
  • HP Smart App on your phone:
    • Open the app, go to Settings > Printer Settings and ensure the paper size is set to A4.
    • When you go to print, double-check that A4 is selected in the print dialog before sending the job.

2. Reset Paper Size in Printer Settings:

  • From the printer itself:
    • Open the printer menu (if available) and navigate to Paper Settings.
    • Ensure the paper size is set to A4.
    • If there's an option to reset the printer's paper settings, do that and try printing again.

3. Check Print Job Preferences:

  • Ensure that no application or program is overriding the paper size settings.
  • Check the print dialog box in the app you're using to print (Word, PDF readers, etc.) and confirm the correct paper size.

4. Clear Print Queue and Restart Devices:

  • Clear the print queue on both your phone and PC to remove any potentially stuck jobs.
  • Power cycle the printer by turning it off, unplugging it for a minute, and then plugging it back in.
  • Restart your phone and computer as well.

5. Check Firmware and App Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date. You can do this through the HP Smart App or the HP Support website.
  • Update the HP Smart App on both your phone and PC to the latest version.
