HP Printer 9010
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer continually goes to a blue screen with the error B305DFF9. The software/firmware is up-to-date. I can unplug it for over 60 seconds, then plug back in, and the error clears for a short time. Then, it goes back to the error. Please help me solve this.

Thanks

Hi @Scott135,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving a "B305" error on the printer screen.

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

To restore the printer to the original factory defaults

1.From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Printer Maintenance.

3. Touch Restore.

4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Can you give me instructions on what to do after the printer completes the factory default restore? How do I reenroll in HP Instant Ink? Right now the printer is showing up as "status unknown" in the app HP Smart.

Thanks.

You will have to add the printer to your instant ink account as the data on the printer was erased when you performed a factory reset. A reset will disable the web services.

we need to enable the web service, go to account, and add the printer using the new claim code.

Refer to -Enrolling in HP Instant Ink

Hope this helps!
