I have the ENVY 6052e all in one printer.  Ive never seen this before but all of the lights are flashing and the error shows E6.  Ive tried to reset up the printer, I powered if off and restarted and nothing is working.  Any suggestions?

Hi @Mavy04,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the E6 error code on an HP ENVY 6052e All-in-One Printer typically indicates an issue with the printer's carriage. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the printer’s front door and remove any paper or foreign objects that might be blocking the carriage.

Inspect the Carriage:

  • Make sure the carriage (the part that holds the ink cartridges) can move freely. If it is stuck, gently move it back and forth to see if it gets unstuck.

Reinstall the Ink Cartridges:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the front door and carefully remove the ink cartridges.
  • Check for any protective tape or packaging still attached to the cartridges.
  • Reinstall the cartridges, ensuring they are seated properly.

Reset the Printer:

  • While the printer is powered on, unplug it from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check the Printer’s Connection:

  • Ensure all cables are securely connected, including the power cable and any USB or network cables.

Clean the Printer:

  • Sometimes dust or debris can cause issues. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the printer.

Perform a Printer Self-Test:

  • Check if the printer has a self-test function (refer to the printer’s manual). This might help identify the issue further.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
