Printer won't turn on.  Message on blue screen error  C4EBA2D1.  I have unplugged from both sources several times.  I am unable to get the ink carriage to move from right to left to remove cartridges.

1. Power Cycle the Printer

Turn off the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn off the printer.

Unplug the Printer:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.

Wait for 1-2 Minutes:

  • This allows the printer to completely reset.

Plug in the Printer:

  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the wall outlet.

Turn on the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn on the printer.

2. Check for Firmware Updates

Ensure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date.

Go to HP’s Support Website:

Download Firmware Update:

  • Check for any available firmware updates and download them.

Install Firmware Update:

  • Follow the instructions to install the firmware update on your printer.

3. Reset the Printer to Factory Settings

4. Reinstall Printer Software

Reinstalling the printer software on your computer can help resolve driver-related issues.

Uninstall Current Printer Software:

  • Go to Settings > Apps and uninstall the current HP printer software.

Download Latest Printer Software:

Install the New Software:

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the new software.

5. Check Printer Hardware

Ensure there are no hardware issues with the printer.

Inspect the Printer for Obstructions:

  • Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed and not damaged.
