After replacing an ink cartridge, my printer keeps saying "Printer Failure. There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn printer off, then on. If problem persists, contact HP." I have tried all of the troubleshooting methods on the support page and those posted on the community page. I am wondering if I can be sent the directions to hard reset my printer.

I have tried restarting the printer: holding down the power button for 5 seconds, then pressing the back button four times, but that has not worked for me. I have also tried to press the back button from the home screen but on the home screen (if my printer allows me to see it) the back button disappears.

Hi @CarrieW23,

If you have already performed the steps from the document 'Printer Failure' Error and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!
