HP OfficeJet Pro 6968

We have an HP OfficeJet Pro 6968. It had a little black ink so we tested the scan/print function and all was well, so i ordered ink.

we just put in the new ink no problem and when we closed it up for use we started getting error codes. (we keep getting it now just turning it on and off)

ERROR MESSAGE: There is a problem with the printer or print system. turn the printer off, then on. if you continue to get this message contact HP.

when we open the printer to check it out, the ink carriage will no longer move from the right to the center, no matter how much we encourage it, it gets caught, the ink cartridges are not accessible to be removed like this either.

it instructed us to remove the paper tray for a jam, which we did, there is no jam or paper at all. the paper tray is installed properly.

the carriage is trying to move but can’t, we see no obstruction and it was moving fine before we replaced the ink.

we have tried the suggested unplug both power sources while on, wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in. It is not working. I just bought $80 of ink.
