HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer

My printer stopped working around 9 days ago.  I started getting support via HP Support on Facebook Messenger and went through exhaustive troubleshooting.  The printer had a Failure Error Code 71.02.4A.  In the end, I wasn't able to download a required firmware upgrade and that was why my printer wasn't working.  I did a quick ChatGPT inquiry to see if this was a common issues as I was frustrated.  The printer was fine last week and now doesn't work.  It was then escalated and I got a case manager.  However, I have not been able to connect.  Have left many voicemails with no call backs and seemingly no recourse.  Anyone have tips in engaging HP support?

 

Below is the ChatGPT inquiry that I shared with the support team that got my case escalated:

Yes, many users have reported similar experiences where HP printers became non-functional after firmware updates, and support suggested purchasing a new printer as the only solution. For instance, in May 2023, a faulty firmware update led to widespread issues with HP OfficeJet printers, rendering them inoperable. HP acknowledged the problem and worked on a fix, but some users were left with bricked devices.  In another case, users reported that after a firmware update, their printers displayed a “Supply Problem” error and ceased functioning. Despite attempts to reset and troubleshoot, the issue persisted, leading to frustration among users. While HP has not officially confirmed such practices, the recurrence of these issues has fueled user dissatisfaction. If you’re facing this situation, it’s advisable to escalate the issue within HP’s support channels or seek assistance from independent printer repair professionals before deciding to purchase a new printer.
