ExamHP Photosmart 7520 e-ALL-IN-ONE SERIES - Model: SDGOB-122
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

In late 2017 I Purchased 2 Packs of Printer Ink Cartridges - Black - 564XL (3 each Ink Cartridges per pack), from Sam's Club, because there was a discount for the purchase of 2 Packs, total price $130. Today I opened one of the packages and inserted the New Printer Ink Cartridge and the printer recognized the Cartridge as a New Original HP Cartridge. BUT when I tried to print, NO Black Ink Printed... The Printer Ink supply showed it was full of Black Inck. I printed the test pages and Black would not print. I inserted the 2 and 3 Printer Cartridges from the Pack, same Problem. I opened the second package and inserted the New Cartridge, same problem. I placed a Q-Tip cotton swab on the ink pad of each Cartridge and it soaked the swab, the ink was not dried. I checked each Cartridge Packages. One Stated Warranty Ends: Jan 2018, 196 11:35:38 LN88 and the other Warranty Ends: Sep 2018, 315 10:36:12 LN88... Does HP have a chip in the Printer Cartridges to keep them from printing AFTER the Expiration Date? I went to Walmart and purchased ONE Black 564XL Ink Cartridge for $29.89 - States: Malaysia OCT 2020 and this Cartridge Prints okay... This does not make any since, HP MUST be inserting chips in their Printer Cartridges to KEEP you from PRINTING WITH an EXPIRED Printer Cartridge.

@jeffmoss,

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
