Windows 11 is installed on my computer. I followed the instructions to uninstall HP printer and reinstall it. That didn't fix the issue. My printer will only let me print off 1-2 pages at a time. Then it gives me the message "cleaning." I have cleaned out my printer and it's still not working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my printer multiple times. Any ideas of what else to try?

Hi @JessicaM24,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've already taken some troubleshooting steps, but let's try a few more to see if we can resolve the issue.
Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers for your HP printer installed. Sometimes outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing issues. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
Check Print Spooler Service: Sometimes issues with the print spooler service can cause printing problems. Try restarting the print spooler service:
- Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type "services.msc" and press Enter.
- In the Services window, scroll down to find "Print Spooler".
- Right-click on "Print Spooler" and select "Restart".
- After restarting, try printing again to see if the issue persists.
Check Printer Settings: Make sure that your printer settings are configured correctly. Check for any settings related to cleaning or maintenance that might be causing the printer to initiate cleaning after printing a few pages.
Check Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually update the firmware through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP website.
Try a Different USB Port or Connection: If you're using a USB connection, try using a different USB port on your computer. If you're using a network connection, try connecting via USB to see if the issue persists.
Test with a Different Application: Sometimes printing issues can be application-specific. Try printing from a different application to see if the problem occurs consistently across all applications or if it's isolated to a specific program.
Hopefully, one of these steps will help you resolve the issue and get your printer working properly again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
