Display syas Aligning Printer; when i hit back button or ok, display says busy and then returns to Aligning Printer; turned printer off and on but it comes back; HELP please; thanks

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that your printer is stuck in alignment mode, I am glad to assist you.
Perform a power reset, Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
- Turn on the printer.
Follow these steps to perform alignment on the printer
- Load plain white paper into the input tray.
- Press the Setup button on the control panel, and then press 6 on the keypad or scroll to Tools.
- Press 4 on the keypad or scroll to Align Printer.
- Press Okay, and then press OK again when the alignment is done to continue.
- Print another Print Quality Diagnostics Page to see if the issue is resolved.
