I have tried all the above, changed the ip address of the printer and still having the same problems.  Since I have Timewarner/Spectrum service I was reading their forums last night at this link https://forums.timewarnercable.com/t5/Home-Networking/HP-Envy-5530-printer-drops-off-TWC-network/m-p...  I think I want to go the usb to ethernet adapter route.  I'm tired of dealing with it.  I would buy a different brand of printer but I like the instant ink subscription.

What router do you have?

You can also connect using the USB to your computer & then share it with the other computers.

I have a Ubee DDW36C which was issued thru Timewarner/Spectrum.  I've already emailed the Ubee manufacturer and was told that Charter is currently testing an upgraded model.  I just heard back from cablematters.com about the usb to rj45 adapter and was told it would not work for my situation.  I've thought about using usb, but what do you mean by sharing the usb connection?  My daughter will frequently print stuff from her Iphone for school.  But of course we have to unplug/plug the printer.  I'm just so sick of dealing with it.  I've been shopping all morning other manufacturers and comparing printers that come with an ethernet connection.

Have you tried moving the printer closer to the router?

That's not an option.  Nothing has changed with my setup except for the upgrade to Win10.  It worked fine before that.

Moving closer would only be a test.

When you have trouble printing have you tried running the Windows troubleshooter for the printer?

What ver. is Windows, 1903 or older?

Yes, I've tried the Windows printing troubleshooter, the HP printing troubleshooter etc.  But the printer is right where I want it, so it's not moving.  I may look at moving the modem since it's wireless.  Just tired of it all, I've been dealing with it off and on for a couple of years.  I don't print a lot, but I want it to work when I do.

In that case my last suggestion would be a wired printer, do you have a RJ45 wall outlet in you printer room?

Just on the modem.

So the cheapest solution is to move the printer.
