Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw
Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

Since my printer updated its firmware to the last version, 20220729, it shuts down repeatedly when idle, or every time I try to print something. I really need to print and so I'll need to downgrade firmware version, is this possible? Thanks

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that your printer repeatedly shuts down, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a NAND reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
