I understand your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw printer is offline and print jobs are stuck in the print queue, you can follow these steps to resolve the issue:
1. Check Printer Status and Connectivity
- Ensure the Printer is On: Make sure the printer is powered on and the display panel is active.
- Check Connections:
- For USB: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
- For Network: Verify the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network and has a stable connection.
- Restart the Printer: Power off the printer, wait for 30 seconds, and then power it back on.
2. Set the Printer Online
Windows:
- Open the Control Panel.
- Go to Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw and select See what's printing.
- In the new window, click on Printer and ensure Use Printer Offline is unchecked.
Mac:
- Open System Preferences.
- Go to Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP printer from the list and click Open Print Queue.
- If the printer is listed as offline, click the Resume button.
3. Clear Print Queue
- Windows:
- Open the Control Panel.
- Go to Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your HP printer and select See what's printing.
- In the new window, click on Printer and select Cancel All Documents.
- Mac:
- Open System Preferences.
- Go to Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP printer from the list and click Open Print Queue.
- Click on Jobs and select Cancel All Jobs.
4. Restart Print Spooler (Windows)
- Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type services.msc and press Enter.
- Scroll down and find Print Spooler.
- Right-click on Print Spooler and select Restart.
5. Reinstall Printer Drivers
Windows:
- Open the Control Panel and go to Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your HP printer and select Remove device.
- Download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
- Install the drivers and add the printer again.
Mac:
- Open System Preferences and go to Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP printer and click the - button to remove it.
- Download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
- Install the drivers and add the printer again.
6. Update Printer Firmware
- Visit the HP Support website. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Search for your printer model and download the latest firmware.
- Follow the instructions to update the firmware.

Some of those above recommendations work...at first. But if my HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw falls asleep for any extended amount of time (say, longer than a few hours), it never wakes up and I have to reinstall everything from scratch. There has GOT to be a solution for this!! Surely HP knows this is a problem and has a fix, aside from the above recommendations!!
