HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer
macOS 15.0 Sequoia

The control panel no longer has anything on it except the HP logo, a horizontal blue line and one lit dot ( out of 7).Nomatter how often I unplug, replug, etc. it reverts to that screen. The printer is several years old.

Hi @JoelG47,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand your HP ENVY Photo 7155 control panel is stuck showing only the HP logo, a blue line, and one lit dot, even after unplugging and replugging the printer. Since the screen won’t go beyond that, it points to a firmware or hardware failure.

Here are a few steps you can try:

1. Power Reset

Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall.

Wait at least 60 seconds.

Plug it directly into a wall outlet (avoid power strips).

Turn the printer back on.

2. Check for a Forced Firmware Recovery (if available)

On some models, pressing and holding both the power button and the “Cancel (X)” button while plugging the power cord back in forces a recovery mode.

If recovery mode loads, reconnect the printer to your Mac and try updating the firmware from HP Easy Start.

3. Try USB Connection Setup
If Wi-Fi is not possible, connect the printer via USB to your Mac, install HP Easy Start or HP Smart, and see if the printer becomes responsive enough for a firmware update.

I hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your suggestions.  I purchased a new HP printer, instead.
