When I click PRINT on a document, the printer activates from standby as if it received the document, but the document never prints and the print queue shows the print is in process...and never completes. The printer, after a 30 seconds or so, gives the same sound/mechanical operations that is does after it finishes printing a document. But--the document never actually printed. The print queue never clears. The print queue is not stuck because I can click on all the options and delete the jobs with no problems. I have run the diagnose and fix wizard from HP Smart, and it does not find any problems. It does not print a test page due to the above. Also, I am able to scan a document from within HP Smart and that works fine. I can even email a document to the printer, and that prints fine. This problem seems to be only happen when printing wirelessly from my desktop. This just started all of a sudden, and the printer has worked flawlessly on this PC since the day I bought it...6 years or so ago.
Stopping the print spool service, powering down the printer, uninstalling/reinstalling the print drivers and HP Smart has not fixed the issue. And...I can print using HP Smart from every other device on the wifi network...just not my desktop PC running Windows 11.
Within all the Windows settings screens and from HP Smart, the printer is visible, active, online and ready to print.

Hi @cdsl810
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 is receiving the print job but failing to execute it when printing wirelessly from your desktop. Since you've already tried restarting the print spooler, reinstalling drivers, and running HP Smart diagnostics, let's explore some additional troubleshooting steps.
Possible Causes & Fixes
1. Check Windows 11 Print Settings
- Open Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 and click Manage.
- Ensure it is set as the default printer.
- Click Printer Properties > Ports and verify that the correct network port is selected.
2. Disable SNMP in Printer Port Settings
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer and select Printer Properties.
- Go to the Ports tab and click Configure Port.
- Uncheck SNMP Status Enabled and click OK.
3. Reset Printer Network Settings
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Network Settings.
- Select Restore Network Defaults.
- Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
4. Try Printing via IP Address
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Click Add a Printer > Add a Printer Using TCP/IP Address.
- Enter your printer’s IP address (found in the printer’s network settings).
- Complete the setup and try printing.
5. Update Windows & HP Drivers
- Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Install any pending updates.
- Visit HP’s driver support page for the OfficeJet Pro 9025 here and install the latest drivers.
