I'm trying to add a signature to my word documents that has a logo in white background with some text in a JPG image at 300ppi. However, when I print it, the printer adds a yellowish background to any images with white background.

I also tried printing a transparent PNG image, and it adds a yellowish background as well. Tried printing from a PDF and it also adds a yellowish box around any images that should be white.

However, when I print the exact same documents from my mobile phone, there's no yellowish background: it's white as it should be.

Same documents, same image files, same printer, one printed from my phone and one from my computer.

This seems to be an issue with the setup on my computer. I tried searching the foruns and found nothing. I also can't find any settings that seem to be wrong on my computer.

What could it be?

Thank you for reaching out to the HP Support community!

Let's try these steps:

  • Open the Word document that you would like to print.
  • Click the 'File' ribbon
  • Select 'Options'
  • Go to "Display' menu
  • Under 'Printing Options', uncheck the option 'Print background color and images'

  • click OK
  • Try to print again.
  • Check the signature.

Let me know if it works.
