For the last  year of owning this Printer, it constantly goes "offline", randomly..  one second I am printing and the next it is "offline".   I dont know what to do anymore, even when I re-install the driver download, it may or may not fix it.  It will eventually just work one day or start in the middle of the night!  But it is always only temporary!!  I have a home business and just cant take this anymore.  I used the Virtual HP assistant, went through the troubleshooting lists, tried myself, had my friends try to help.  This is exactly what happened to my OLD HP Printer, so I trashed it last year and brought this one, but was a waste of money since this new one does the same thing.  I even have a new Computer now, and it still doesn't work.  However, the printer Test pages work, and so does the alignment and printer reports...  UGH!   Please someone help me!

Hello,

If the printer is connected to the wireless network, please configure a new port as follows:

  1. On the keyboard, press the Windows logo key and the R key simultaneously. The Run window opens.
  2. Type control printers, then press Enter. The Devices and Printers window opens.
  3. Right-click on your printer icon, then click on Printer properties, click on the Ports tab, and click on Add Port....
  4. Select Standard TCP/IP Port and click New Port....
  5. Click Next, then enter the printer's IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.97) in the Printer Name or IP Address field and click Next.
  6. Once the port is added, click Finish and close all windows.
  7. Try to print.

If the issue persists, please update the printer firmware from the HP link below.
