HI All

I have seen this issue in a number of other threads with general dissatisfaction about whether it can be resolved.

Please can you provide advice.

My OfficeJet Pro 9020 has been showing a blue screen with code B305DFF9 on the screen intermittently for the last month or so.

When this happens, the power button will not shut the printer down, I have to unplug the power cord and reset the printer then plug it back in.  The printer works fine for a little while after the reset, but then the blue screen and code returns.

This has become more frequent and the "unplugging" solution solves it for less and less time.  I can just about get one print job out of it immediately but then goes back to the blue screen.

I have made sure that all drivers are up to date etc.

The printer is just over a year old, so out of warranty, but not a terribly good situation given the number of other people suffering with this.

All help appreciated.

Hi @MichaelVivian14,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving a "B305" error on the printer screen.

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
